Custom software development
Software designed and built around the way your business works, shown to you working at every review.
Custom software makes sense when your process is what sets you apart, or when no product fits without painful workarounds. We start with the people who will use it, agree the smallest useful scope and build in short cycles, showing working software at every review. You own the code, repositories and documentation from the first commit.
What you get
- A written scope with user stories, priorities and acceptance criteria
- Clickable designs for the key screens, reviewed with real users
- Working software released to a staging environment after each cycle
- Automated tests covering business rules and critical user journeys
- Source code, infrastructure code and deployment pipelines in your own repositories
- Technical and user documentation, plus a handover session for your team
How it works
- 01
Discover
We interview users, study the current process and agree a scope and priorities you can change as you learn.
- 02
Design
Screens, data model and architecture are designed, and the riskiest parts are prototyped before full build.
- 03
Build
Features are built in short cycles, tested automatically and demonstrated on a staging environment for your feedback.
- 04
Launch
We release to production, watch it closely, fix early issues and hand over code, documents and admin access.
Scope it now.

Questions
Who owns the code?
You do. Code, designs and documentation live in repositories and accounts owned by your company, and intellectual property is assigned to you in the contract. You can continue development with us, in-house or with another team.
How do you estimate cost?
After discovery we break the scope into features and estimate each one, with the assumptions stated. You can fix scope and budget for a defined first release, or work in time-boxed cycles and reprioritise as you go.
What technology do you use?
Mainstream, well-supported tools that fit the problem and your team, typically TypeScript, Python, Go, PostgreSQL, React and native or cross-platform mobile frameworks. We avoid obscure choices that would make the software hard to hand over.
