How to report a problem

A good report gets a faster fix. Include as much of this as you can:

  • What happened, and what you expected to happen
  • Where it happened: the system, page or screen, with a link if there is one
  • When it started, and whether it happens every time
  • The steps to make it happen again
  • Screenshots or error messages, copied exactly
  • How urgent it is (see below)

Urgency levels

Critical
A live system is down or data is at risk. Put CRITICAL at the start of the subject.
High
An important feature is broken and there is no workaround.
Normal
Something is wrong but work can continue.
Question
How do I…, can it…, or a change you would like.

Reporting a security issue

If you have found a security weakness in clockborn.com or in software we run, email help@clockborn.com with SECURITY at the start of the subject. Please include the steps to reproduce it and give us reasonable time to fix it before publishing. Our security contact is also published at /.well-known/security.txt.

Common questions

Do you support software you did not build?

Yes. We can take over maintenance of existing software after a review of the code, the hosting and the documentation, so we know exactly what we are taking on.

Where are you and what time zone do you work in?

Clockborn is based in India (IST, UTC+5:30) and works with clients in every time zone by email.

Is there a phone number?

Email is the best way to reach us: every message is read by a person and nothing gets lost between shifts. We arrange calls by email whenever a conversation is easier.

How do I start a new project?

Write to hello@clockborn.com with a few lines about what you need. You can also use the scoping questions on any service page to prepare the email for you.
