Performance audit
Measured answers to why your software is slow, and a ranked list of the fixes that matter most.
Slowness has many possible causes: an unindexed query, a heavy image, a chatty API, a server that runs out of memory under load. Guessing wastes weeks. We measure first, using real-user data, profilers, database query plans and controlled load tests, then trace each slow path to its cause and rank the fixes by how much time they save.
What you get
- Baseline measurements of page load, API response times and resource use
- Core Web Vitals results for key pages from lab tests and real-user data
- The slowest database queries, with query plans and index recommendations
- Load test results showing where response times degrade and why
- A findings report ranking each fix by expected gain and effort
- Before and after measurements for any fixes we implement
How it works
- 01
Measure
We capture current response times, page metrics and resource use for the journeys that matter most.
- 02
Profile
Application profilers, query plans and traces show where time is actually spent on each slow path.
- 03
Load test
Controlled load tests in a safe environment find the point where the system starts to struggle.
- 04
Recommend
Fixes are ranked by impact; we can implement them and measure again to confirm the improvement.

Questions
Will load testing affect our live system?
We test against a staging copy wherever possible. If production must be tested, we agree a low-traffic window, start small and stop immediately at agreed thresholds, with your team informed throughout.
What are Core Web Vitals?
They are Google’s measures of real user experience: Largest Contentful Paint for loading, Interaction to Next Paint for responsiveness and Cumulative Layout Shift for visual stability. Google also uses them as a search ranking signal.
Do you fix the problems too?
If you want. The audit stands alone, with fixes your own team can apply, or we can implement the top items and re-run the same measurements so the improvement is shown rather than assumed.
