IoT platforms

Connected devices onboarded securely, monitored live and updated remotely from one platform.

A pilot with twenty sensors is easy; running thousands of devices in the field is not. We build IoT platforms that give each device its own certificate, collect telemetry over MQTT, store it as time series, raise alerts on thresholds and patterns, and push firmware updates in staged waves. Operators see every asset on a map with its live state.

What we build

  • Device provisioning with per-device X.509 certificates and secure boot support
  • MQTT ingestion pipelines that handle thousands of messages per second
  • Time-series storage and dashboards for sensor readings and machine states
  • Rules for thresholds, missing data and slow drift, with alert routing
  • Over-the-air firmware updates in staged roll-outs with automatic rollback
  • Asset maps and device twins showing location, health and configuration

What it does well

Unique identities

Each device has its own certificate, so one compromised unit can be revoked alone.

Offline tolerant

Devices buffer readings during outages and upload them in order once reconnected.

Staged updates

Firmware goes to a small group first and rolls back automatically if health checks fail.

Live asset map

Every device shows its location, battery, signal strength and last message time.

Edge processing

Gateways filter and aggregate data locally to save bandwidth and cloud cost.

Open protocols

MQTT, LwM2M and Modbus keep you free to change hardware vendors later.

Questions

Should we use a cloud IoT service or build our own?

Managed services such as AWS IoT Core handle device connections and certificates well and suit most projects. Self-hosted brokers like EMQX make sense when data must stay on site, when connectivity is local only, or when per-message pricing gets expensive at your volume. We compare costs for your device count.

Can you work with the devices we already have?

Usually. Many devices already speak MQTT, Modbus, BACnet or OPC UA. For older equipment we add an edge gateway that reads the device locally and forwards data securely. We check each device’s protocol and update options before designing the platform.

How do you keep devices secure in the field?

Each device gets a unique identity, encrypted connections and signed firmware. Default passwords and open debug ports are removed before shipping. Devices that behave oddly or stop reporting raise alerts, and any unit can be revoked without affecting the rest.
